I currently have been quilting for the past year on a Janome 7318, very basic small sewing machine. I now am getting family who want king size quilts. Is it worth it to purchase the Janome Horizon 7700 or 8900 long arm? Does anyone have either of these machines? If so, have you had any problems with them?

Re: New Machine ??
I have just purchaded the Janome 8900 QCP. Just had it for two weeks so I am still learning about all the functions. I am happy with it so far but I have yet to make anything real big on it or any other machine. But compared to my little Brother this is so much nicer .sigpic

Re: New Machine ??
There are a lot of people here with the 7700 and they all seem to love it. Angie, Martha and a few others have it. They'll chime in here eventually.K is for Karen 😊 Albuquerque, NM..................

Re: New Machine ??
I love my Janome 7700 when it is working, it is still in for repairs, needs a new A board, I had had it 11 1/2 months when it decided to die on me .... saying that I have been able to use a Janome 8900 a couple of times at my LQS whilst waiting for mine to return, it is so much faster than the 7700 and the embroidery stitches are also a little wider so if you were to get either ( we cant get 7700 in Aust any more) I would get the 8900.Remember, people will see your quilts long after you are gone. . . Not your housework!!
