Thanks for sharing I liked that idea. Anything I can do to help me use my cutter. Sometimes the ruler slips and sometimes the cutter slips. Keep trying, keep trying I tell myself. LOL

Thanks for this link. I made one that looks like a Christmas tree (can't remember the blog I got pattern from). Great way to use up those scraps and practice your quilting skills.

Rae - I'd love to get this pattern. Was it a freebie that you can pass along??? Or send me the site you found it on??

    Thanks!

I googled 'Christmas Tree mug rug' and haven't come up with a Christmas tree one yet, but did find this super cute mug rug. There doesn't seem to be a tutorial for it, but I think it could easily be done. I love the quilting she did on it, makes it look more like a wreath.
after you click on the link, scroll about 1/2 way down and there are several pic of it.

Here's a link for one that I was going to do. The tutorial is designed with making multiples in mind but it would be easy to adapt to a single one. Plus there are a couple alternative colour ones which are lovely.

I'm sure I had some more as well, I will look and see if I can find them.
