    Default My latest project

After making a zillion pillowcases, I've moved on. Now I'm into those cute makeup bags. They are fairly easy, but you have to be willing to cut zippers to fit, then restitch together. Here are some I've made.

Very cute. I made a bunch, different sizes, for my granddaughters. I followed the original pattern from the Crafty Gemini for the first bag, and then altered the size to make larger bags. TheCraftyGemini tutorial is "How to make a zipper wristlet or makeup cosmetic bag pouch. Very easy instructions and nice video.

The pattern is called Zippy Strippy by Atkinson Designs #AKT-149.
The directions use strips but I modified it to use a scene instead of strips. I did made one using strips and it is nice, but I like a scene print better. Besides I had scraps to use. The 3 black ones (each a different size) were made with 2 fat quarters.
