2 jelly roll pattern

Hi I am lookking for 2 patterns if you can help I would be greatful.

I have one set of fabric where I have one layer cake and one jelly roll - what cna I make?

I then have 2 jelly rolls - what can i make?

I am excited to get going as I am still teaching myself so please get back to me soon with pattern ideas, I welcome your experience and love you vids

Have you checked Jenny's tutorials? One that uses a layer cake and Jelly roll is called the Magic square, I believe. She actually uses Jelly rolls for alot of her patterns.

I am planning a quilt using the double slice layer cake pattern border with a "piano key" border made of the matching jelly roll. There isn't a pattern that I know of, just planning it out ahead of time.

I'm sure others will have some great suggestions. Good Luck and be sure to post what you decide!

Quilting Quickly 1 on craftsy.com (must pay for it) has a tutorial for what she calls jelly cakes. 1 layer cake and 1 jelly roll is almost a queen size quilt. She has three variations on it as well. I was going to maybe do this with my Odd and Ends roll and cake.

First thing I thought of was magic square. Jelly rolls have just to many posiblities. Maybe a fence rail, or 4 patch (Jenny has tut for this one). BTW welcome to the forum from Missouri.

First thing that came to mind was the magic squre too if you want to mix them. That's the only one I know. If you want to do the jelly rolls there is the summer in the park

My favourite layercake+jellyroll quilt comes from a Pam & Nicky Lintott book- they have loads of patterns for pre-cuts. Its an hour glass with sashing

Judy, I love that mystery quilt block. It is so pretty. I am currently making a star quilt from Jenny's jelly roll star video. I was going to sash and cornerstone it, too, so I am so glad I got to see yours. I am not happy with the background fabric which is black with white leaves in it. I thought from a distance it looked like a starry night background, but am not so sure now.

Julie, just start looking at videos. You'll get a lot of ideas.
