Default Peg board covered with quilt magazine pictures

I've been slowly working on my sewing room. My hubby put up my long peg board yesterday and the new shelves are sitting there waiting to be finished up. I decided to cover both boards and see what happens. The larger board will be for rulers, patterns, and anything else I need to hang out of the way. The smaller board will be where my thread will go (when I get more hooks). My room is still a work in progress. :-)

Wrong picture. The rooster is not my small peg board. But I did like the quilt (from a show) enough to take its picture. :-)

You will find it so handy for your things! I had never thought of a peg board, but my sewing space has no more space for one.

what a good idea! I don't have a peg board either, but I've somehow managed to keep everything organized. Imagine that.

I have very mixed feelings . . . love the peg boards but I hope it is easier to find things that it appears from the picture - I'd be going bonkers looking for my favorite ruler. BUT, on the other hand I love the collage effect of the magazine pictures.

I am so confused after looking at this. Your method of organization must be different than mine, cuz I couldn't find anything. But then my eye sight isn't the greatest anymore. lol. As long as you're happy with it, and can find what you are looking for that is all that really matters

It's way easier to see my rulers and such in person. The picture does look very confusing and messy. It does give my room color. The more I look at it, the better I like it.

What a great idea I'm using a similar idea for my rulers right now, but using a cork board instead of peg board. My "sewing room" right now is temporary, so I didn't want to attach anything huge to the walls (It's hopefully going to be a nursery in 3-ish years ). But once our basement is finished I'll be getting FIL to put up some peg board for me in my new room so I can do this too!

Laura, what embroidery machine do you have? Your hoops look exactly like the ones for my Viking.
