Lightbulb Dual color binding for reversible projects.

My recent table topper for holidays required a binding solution of dual colors. Everyone has gotten excited and asked how so here goes:

I cut two inch strips of each color and joined them. I proceeded with as much as needed for the overal length of my project. Then I ironed it as you would if you we're making double fold bias tape. This created a binding that is one color on the front and a different color on the reverse.

It worked out slick and I was eve,n able to repeat the process for a second project!

If you needed binding is more than the width of fabric strip, do you join the single strips first using the technique of sewing diagonally? Then sew the other color strip to it? Thanks for this tip! It would be nice to match the backing and borders with the same fabrics.
