    Default Hurricane Sandy

Good morning from the east coast of Florida, Daytona Beach. We are watching hurricane Sandy blow past, 200
Miles off shore. Right now there is 40 mph wind and rough seas. Rain to come later in the day! We are lucky it's off shore! Watch out north Eastern US. Here is a photo of current conditions.

Lets hope and pray I stay at least 200 miles from shore!!

Could be a WILD time! We're ready, though.

DH is going afterwork to purchase a generator for us. We've never had the power out more than a half hour at a time but he's being cautious because he wants me to be completely comfortable in case we lose power. How sweet is that! I was hoping weather would be good next Tuesday, as that's the day I get to ride in a car again and get my staples out. I'm praying it just blows out to sea and harms no one, but just in case it does come this way, I'm holding on tight.

That was sweet of your DH (and a good idea too)! Hoping that the weather blows over swiftly and not to harshly too. Hold on tight everybody!!

We are stocking up on supplies and getting the yard ready for some big gusts of wind. Our neighbors on both sides have trees that hang towards our house. Pray they are still standing after Sandy goes through!

have a son just outside of DC. Keep him in your prayers also please. We happened to be visiting in July when the big wind storm blew through and we were without power only about 18 hrs. wasn't fun. Hoping everyone stays safe and she just blows out to sea.
