Default Have any of you made this charm tote bag?

Here are the directions from the MSQC site: http://blog.missouriquiltco.com/wp-c...ag-Pattern.pdf

Have any of you made this pattern? It looks pretty easy, and I need a new tote to haul my hand quilting around. I'm thinking of giving it a go.

    Anyone made this? Thanks.

It is almost like a rag bag, just not ragged. My sister, Marilyn (mernin) has been making the rag bags for a craft festival down where I live. She has put several together and they are super cute. Look her up and she what she has done.

Thanks Rhonda. Boy her bags are cute, and they do look very similar to that pattern.

Very similar method to the ones I have been making. Once you get the method down you can make any size you want. You have to realize this isn't a very big bag. So I guess it depends on how big are the things you are going to be 'hauling' around.

Hi Marilyn. Yes I was already thinking about doubling the size...at least doubling it to make it longer and maybe increasing the height by 1 or 2 charm squares. I have some pretty charms that I bought that I haven't figured out what to do with, so I think I'll use them to give this bag a try.

That is the one I was trying to put a link on a thread someone started about totes and it didn't work. It is a great pattern!! I have made several, some adding more charm squares and some using a focus fabric with only one matching color for the rest of the charms. It is quite versatile. Good luck, I think you will like it.

I am going to have to try this one out now, too....bet you could easily put a zipper in the top instead of button closure as well!

Hi Gayle, I've made one of these bags - check out my album for a pic. It was really easy to put together. It is not a very big bag, but it would be easy enough to enlarge to the size you wanted. Wendy
