    For the border and binding on a throw I would purchase 3 yards. 2 for the borders 1 for the binding. You'll have extra but I would throw it on the back. There's a Robert Kaufman app that if you put in your measurements it will give you accurate if you don't want to have extra fabric. I would do the same as above and buy a layer cake. Again throw your extra on the back or save it for z scrappy project. Hope this helps!

    Thank you SO much!! I'm not much for throws. I like to really snuggle up and curl up on the couch with a quilt and throws are just a little too short even for me and most especially for my tall husband!
