We at least have a start.
Gabby, your English is fine! Soo MUCH better than what's left in my brain of my high school German!

We'll keep looking I am sure!

I clicked on the russian link. While there I clicked her Foreward/Afterword thing and found out a bit more about her quilt.

It also looks like she made it using foundation piecing. I am NOT an expert on that technique, but it would certainly be easier than cutting all of those pieces and then trying to assemble them and then trying to match them up!

Well, thanks ...I have this pattern. But I would prefer the one with wider stripes. I'm confident that somebody will have a solution for this....

I just looked at the picture you posted and it actually has 36 blocks, not 12 if you look closely. It is very similar to the one posted on the Russian site with the exception that the Russian pattern sews the blocks in framed black and white squares while the one you posted is done with log cabin blocks. The paper pieced patterns could be altered to do it this way. I really like this quilt. It's on my list now!!!

Denis when you accomplish that I will do a big table dance for everyone - with a grass skirt or something . . . hope you put it on the top of your bucket list because I need some action in this old failing body of mine.

And Denis, if I ever call you Denise, I apologize in advance. My name is Denise, so once I type the Denis I automatically want to add the "e" lol I was actually named after my Dad, Dennis, but he spells his with two n's

LOL- I get a lot of people calling me Denise without realizing the "s" is silent and that it is a french name. Mostly I get Dennis but that's not right either. Many people have come to call me Den which is fine by me.

BTW. I'm not really starting this quilt this weekend or any other time soon, so Sandy will have plenty of time to work out her dance routine and choose a really nice grass skirt. LOL
