Default Newly retired and ready for quilting adventures!

I just retired, had surgery on both feet, and found the forums in the same week. I'm excited to join in! I've been part of genealogy forums and know the unlimited knowledge you find in them. One of the annoying things about this surgery is I can't sit up to my sewing machine yet. So I just keep buying the daily deals! I think there needs to be an "I'm addicted to early morning deals!" Thread. Excited to be here, excited to spend some quality time learning how to master a skill my grandmother excelled at.

By the way I live on a beautiful mountain that overlooks many sparkling little towns in northern Utah. I wake up every morning to the sounds of cheerful bird songs as I reach for my iPad to check those daily deals!

Welcome to the forum, and welcome to the Daily Deal Addicts Anonymous group! We have no hope of rehabbing, unless the house lifts up off the foundation from so much fabric in the basement stash! Hope you can get to the machine soon,i and are all healed up and ready to roll soon!

Welcome from Kentucky. Congrats on your retirement! I retired last August and am enjoying more and more. I enjoy genealogy too. Many of us (including me) might be considered DD addicts so you're in good company.

Welcome from California! Yes, you will find no one here who will talk you out of buying the Daily Deals! Hope you heal up soon and can start making beautiful quilts with your purchases!

My sweet husband helped me transform an addition to our house into sewing rooms, he calls this the Sew-wing. Gives a whole new meaning to a wing of the house. Love it!
