    Default What’s For Supper?

My husband and I have been married for 48 years.
I’m out of ideas to fix for supper.
I fix all our meals from scratch.
Prepared foods are full of salt and preservatives.
What do you fix for supper, give me some new ideas.
    Thank you

I am diabetic so many things I made while raising kids don't work for 2 people. Spaghetti, noodle type casseroles, potato side dishes, etc.

I make a tuna casserole that DH likes:
1 or 2 cans tuna drained
can of cream of mushroom soup
    1 egg hardboiled per person
Slice eggs into buttered dish. Stir soup &* tuna, top with bread crumbs. bake at 350 for 25 min.

    We have meatloaf
    blt's
    homemade soups
    spaghetti
    I make a fajita burrito that DH likes;
Cut good beef or chicken into thin strips
brown some sliced onion & peppers in butter then add the meat strips (don't overcook)
    shredded cheese
    salsa
    sour cream
    shredded lettuce
    tomatoes
    refried beans
    tortilla (flour ) shells
I put a griddle on low and have the meat prepared and everything else in small dishes
DH puts his tortilla on the griddle and spreads what he wants onto it and rolls it up.
Occassionally I will heat a can of tamales or Spanish rice for him to go with it..

I make oven baked texas style ribs
    Lamb chops
    steak about every two weeks
    Chicken strips
    BBQ sandwiches

    Chicken cordon bleu
eggrolls from left overs and wonton shells.
    grilled pork chops
ham steaks served with macaroni and cheese
    homemade pizza
beef tips with rice (alternating with stroganoff)

And as I look at this list I wonder why he is always telling me he wants me to make something different.

Terry, coming to eat at your house. 32 years here, I'm bored to death of the
same thing. We eat totally different foods, really just cook for him.
Meat/starch/veg.- he's happy. Tonight was pork chop, pasta, corn on the cob.
