    If I were making that, I'd keep my pieces rectangle at the edges. Then I'd mark a cutting line and stay-stitch within the line before I trimmed the edges. That's what I do with french braid quilts...

    Try the 505 spray baste. It's much better! It may cost a little more, but no frustration compared to some of the other brands.

    I agree. You could use whatever size starting square you need to fit your top. You could adjust the inner border to whatever size you need to make the outer border fit best.
