Re: So I was thinking to myself...

I've banned Pinterest from any searches. I wanted to make a certain wallet, there were plenty of pictures of the wallet made by Pinterest users, but not one link to the pattern for those of us who...

Re: Against The Grain or Not

Across the grain might have some stretch. Just enough for easing, etc. Longwise does not. If you were making rows of pintucks, they looked better if you changed the cutting direction on the pattern...

    Re: Applique question.....

I'd still satin stitch any applique. I did one that had raw edge and it made me nervous.

However, I did a lot of heirloom sewing and most of the books say that you can use any stitch that has a...

    Re: weightless quilters frame

I bought one. I don't have the room to spread out with tables, etc. It will work as shown. I had to modify for lack of room.

Drilled new holes for spacing the bottom holder. Fixing so I can set up...

Re: Do you have a Juki TL-2010Q?

I also have one. Really like the machine. Heavy duty and very straight-forward to operate.

The one small problem is that it has less feet available than the PQ 1500. Juki has finally put out a...
  6. Re: Questions about making a pad for my cat Mason who has claimed a box....and likes to lay in it ....

My Siamese seems to like batting. I tossed a scrap piece on top of a laser printer and she's been sleeping on it.

    Re: Craftsy. Important change WARNING

You can turn off all auto-updates on an Android. When you go to Play Store and log in, there will be a list of apps wanting an update. You can read and NOT update if you don't want to. The apps I...

    Re: Craftsy. Important change WARNING

I have the app on an iPad, but I will delete it. It wouldn't have done Craftsy any good as that was mostly what I used the iPad for. No names. No phone number, no email, no social sites. The other app...

Re: Juki TL-2010Q Foot Pedal Question

I don't read reviews unless I can find both positive and negative to make up my own mind.

A lot do understand the machine. It's the fact that if you are dealing with a large and possibly heavy...

Re: Juki TL-2010Q Foot Pedal Question

I've bought it from Allbrands. Love it.

I originally turned the footpedal sort of sideways.

We've had some spammers over the years, but nothing like this. One person is probably posting all that nonsense under different names.

I was just wondering what spamming technique had changed....

    Re: 9 Patch help

You want to do each 9 patch separately? If that's the case, just use larger backing and batting, sew the extra stitches off the quilt on those, then trim to size and assemble. You can do the final...

Why all of a sudden are you getting so many spam posts? A lot look like sports (you can hover over and not open)

Do you have a bot from a betting combine hacking this site?
  16. Re: If you own a Husqvarna/Viking Sewing & Embroidery Machine do you love it or hate it?

If my Pfaff dies, it will HAVE to be a Bernina. Last frontloader made. I simply don't like toploading machines. I've had a couple.

Pfaffs have trouble with the thread cutter. I saw a 2140 that...
  17. Re: If you own a Husqvarna/Viking Sewing & Embroidery Machine do you love it or hate it?

I own a Pfaff which is now owned by the same group that owns Viking. Both machines have a few things in common. Both have published "The Foot Book" which is a good tutorial on how to use the feet.....

    Re: Sweatshirt Jackets

I've done a couple, but I also made the sweatshirts. I don't buy sweatshirts as some of them are up the other half's back after one washing.

I could also change the closing to buttons, too. Some...

Re: Which is better in am taking a toll?

Check out all the hoops for the machine. There are extras you can buy. I have the older Pfaff 2140 and the continuous hoop. Ladies were making yards of fancy trim and lace with it. It is close to...

Re: Free motion quilting part 2

I've been at ruler work for a bit. I prefer to FMQ. I can keep the quilting as far apart as I want it and not what the FMQ pattern wants.

    Re: Brother ScanNCut ❤💖

There is iron on 2 sided stabilizer that most use. The only thing with using double-sided, is you need to reverse the design.

I use double sided on the Silhouette with no trouble. I reverse. The...

    Re: what to do

Thank you. Totally new block for me. But Accuquilt used my favorite colors so I had to try it.

I do have a compensating foot that does 1/8 so I can use that. I'll also fuss with the clear thread....
