Just love it! I have the same issue...well, a UFO anyway. It is also black and white. You've given me some ideas about how to finish it!

    Re: Several Finishes

All of them lovely, to say the least. How generous of you to do so many donation quilts. The Bonnie Hunter designed ones are more than stunning. When do you sleep?

    Re: FYI

We all are often asked to help out, and we do. One word of caution, you can check out the organization and if it is a "not-for-profit" you can see salaries of those who are leading the charge if they...
  5. Re: FREE Pattern - Easy Pieced Table Runner Series - August

Thanks for pointing us to the pattern. Reminds me a little of Anita's Arrowhead. Will certainly try this one.

Re: binding star quilt and tool

Terry, absolutely stunning quilt. You continue to amaze me with your energy and talents. Give that guy an extra hug or two for his part in this last creation!
  7. Re: I made a trade for Shriners...what do you think

Sounds like a win win! If I do the math, then each quilt top cost $6. Great work, Terry.
  8. Re: Cute Baby Blanket from leftovers of a Long Arm Class

Really great use of these "samples". Great job!

    Re: Oh no, help

Hydrogen peroxide works wonders - inexpensive old nurses trick. Test it out on a scrap first, but I have never had it change or create any problems with fabric.
  11. Re: 3 amazing donations from Grammababs friend Joann

Love them all, particularly the center one. How very generous of her!
  12. Re: Anyone use layer cake to make a dresden?

    I made this one: 159719

Re: Raise Your Trunk... and Dance

Love it! Love the pattern that created the howdah and you used most of the colors which are used in religious ceremonies. Red, yellow (turmeric), green from leaves, and white.

    Re: price of 3 rulers

Ouch!!! I posted this video before - has some great sewing hacks, one particularly for an inexpensive way to create your own block lock ruler. She mentions masking tape, but that's the term in...

    Re: Quilting with flannel

Three issues I would raise, although they may be repeats. 1) Purchase good quality flannel yardage! 2) Run a basting stitch across the cut sides to help stop fraying 3) Wash and dry it before...

Make sure your bobbin case and area are clean, too. Also, did you try using another bobbin?
