I did one of those 'flanges' on my recent quilt. (didn't know that's what it was called. I call it flat piping, lol). They really do look good and this quilt you're doing is fabulous.
I bought a cone of thread and made my quilt and then found out that it was a Madeira overlocker thread. I've since used it for making loads of bags with no problems at all.
Wow! How unusual with the glow. It's a fabulous quilt.
That's really lovely. Great colour combo.
They're all great quilts but I totally love that second one. The red and green..well, all the colours. Just fabulous. The dogs are pretty cute too, lol.
I'm not a Lincolnshire lass either, lol, I just happen to live here now. Much rather be back in Yorkshire. :D
Try this. She shows you how to do it on a small table. I've just done a double bed quilt using this and I can't tell you how easy it was.

Your pink bag is gorgeous, lovely blend of colours and fabrics. As for that crochet bag...wow! I've not seen anything done like that before. Would never have thought of crocheting with anything...
Oh, that's wonderful. A well deserved honour, I'm sure.
That's gorgeous.
Hi Lilyjo. Welcome. Really glad to hear that you're back sewing. I've recently started up again after 20 odd years and I'm loving it.
I'm from Lincolnshire too hun. :D
I thought it was Click 'n Cut. :D
Oooooh, I like those. Very much. :D
You're very welcome Marion. :D
Oh, that's a smasher.
Awww, thanks girls.
Vonnie, yes. I covered the buttons. The fabric is Sweet Serenade by Basic Grey and you can find the pattern here. U-Handbag Patterns - The Simply Stylish Bag PDF pattern
Terrible news for you. I'm so very sorry but your attitude seems to be really good and positive. Hang on in there hun.
Hmmmm, not something I've ever thought about. I just sit 'wherever' lol.
Here you go girls. The Warm Company make it

That's great. Lovely bright colours and patterns.
Looks like a great bit of kit Jean. I've got a fabric blade for my Cameo, but the scanning set up you have on the Brother is a brill idea.
I'm on a bag kick, obviously lol. This fabric is by Basic Grey. A normal sized shoulder bag.

Thanks ladies. The pattern for this one came from a book. Love to Sew - Patchwork Bags. It's...
My second bag. I used the same design as my owl bag, 'cause I like it. :D I'm still having a problem getting a nice pic of the lining though. Will really have to work on that. It's a decent size...
