    Lint will surely cause it, but it may be yourspeed or , my first thought would be drag from your quilt. Some threads just won't FMQ so try a different spool.

    I made a flannel back with 5 inch squares. I thought it was difficult to keep them from stretching out of shape but it was probably operator caused. lol.
