    Re: owl quilt

Fabric.com has a number of owl panels. I like this one: https://www.fabric.com/buy/0416629/owl-in-the-family-owl-family-panel-multi?cm_vc=756b1813-cbc1-43b3-84bd-29889bf8fb7b

    Re: owl quilt

You could just get an owl panel or a wildlife panel with owls in it and put borders on it. Simple is best when you are learning.

I just always ask Siri these questions. She's the best handy reference guide.
  5. Re: Should I be able to see light through the quilting holes?

Thank you everyone! And I so agree that Jean has been helpful throughout my quilting journey! She seems to be a natural teacher and definitely an opinion I trust. I don't come here often - crazy...
  6. Should I be able to see light through the quilting holes?

I'm using a new Quilter in my new town and as I was sewing on the binding I noticed I could see the floor lamp light was shining through the holes in the fabric made by the quilting stitches. I...

Can you give us more information on where to buy the pattern? These are beautiful and I'd love to try it. Thanks for posting!

    Re: Easiest quilt for beginners?

How about an Irish chain using 5" squares. The blocks are 13 1/2" and 7 (blocks) X 6 = a nice queen sized quilt.

    Re: Wrapped fabric bowl

The thing I don't like about wrapped bowls is the end. It is hard to taper the end so that it blends into the rest of the bowl and I hate the chopped off look. This is a great solution. Even if...

    Re: I'm a bad girl....

A-HA This is why you all are so fast and I am so very very slow! I iron constantly, measure three times, cut once; rip out if the seam is over or under a scant 1/4 inch. I pin, ventilate, and...

Re: LOVE the quilt - Does MSQC have a tut?

Thank you so much Myrna! I think this is it! Do you think it would be crazy to make it with 5" yardage strips? I need to get this finished and on the bed before DH runs out to buy one. (He knows...

LOVE the quilt - Does MSQC have a tut?

Today I got the email about the new Block being charged to my account - no problems there - But there was a STUNNING (in its simplicity) quilt on the bottom left of the page. It is a nine patch with...

Beautiful! And it matches the chair so maybe you don't have to have it be "matchy matchy" as my DD would say. I love your work!

Re: Looking at travel Irons - Opinions please!

Thanks to everyone who replied. Before I buy one I'll check with the cruise lines. We're going to Amsterdam on the way to a Norwegian Fjords cruise so having the alternate power is important.

Re: Looking at travel Irons - Opinions please!

Well it's not a quilting cruise but my favorite shirts for summer are cotton or linen and this ship (Costa Romantica) doesn't have passenger services. But I also would love to have it for quilting. ...
