    Re: opinions please

I am really enjoying M* cotton thread for both piecing and walking foot quilting. It does produce some lint, but not much. I like the feel of it.

Re: HELP what pattern would you use.

I like grey a lot. I also like yellow and this sort of thing so I might do something like this with them http://ttfabrics.com/cms2015/wp-content/uploads/TongaFocasStrips_BroomeSt_Frequency_opt1.pdf...
  8. Re: M* quilting is so lovely, I need to post.

Thank all. That thread color is an orange. I like it a lot on this quilt, and give total credit to M* quilter. It was a little scary to leave the choice up to someone else, but she knew what she...
  9. M* quilting is so lovely, I need to post.

I took a little risk and selected quilts choice for my latest quilt She choose a bolder thread color than I would have dared and I love it. No one here to hold quilt, so I am taking close up of...

    Re: What's your favorite .........

I like string quilting. I generally use white as center string and just use scraps . I call them kaleidoscope quilts
  12. Re: Has anyone encountered your partner not being okay with gifts?

No, I haven’t experienced this. I would separate my hobby, and not go to quilting stores together, etc... You might try explaining that the giving is PART of your hobby.

    Re: Suggestions for Charm Quilt

Right now I am obsessed with the versatility of HST, so I would probably get two more charm packs of color, make them into HST and go looking for a layout....

    Re: Jelly roll for binding?

It sounds to me like you might want a binding that looks like a piano key border? I did that once and loved the look. Just created a very long piano key border, 5 inches wide and sliced that in...

    Re: Lets Talk Chairs

I switched from an office chair on wheels to a straight back kitchen chair and have had fewer back aches and foot cramps.
  21. Re: Embarking on the easy clam shell quilt this morning

Way to go. Your bravery is inspiring. I recently received the ruler, but started on a different quilt as I waited for it. Looking at the ruler itself gives me a bit of pause at the task ahead,...
