Re: Opinion on New Sewing Machine

I love my Janome 8900. Don't need a lot of the extras. Love the needle down, large harp is very useful if you plan to do FMQ.

    Re: Hobby Lobby Fabric?

I don't shop there anymore. The clerks are not very helpful at the one in town. They are too busy chatting. Or there aren't enough clerks to help or answer questions.

Re: Making a "drop" side on a quilt

Just curious, it sounds to me as if you don't want the drop to have batting? Is that right? Do you already have the top sewn together?

I just looked at their website at the Janome 8900 and they have the blue dot bobbin case as an optional accessory.

Re: I'm thinking about an upgrade?

I would love for it to be easier to find things. When searching for a previous post, even with limiting search words, I get tons of posts that don't even apply.

    Re: ...and the difference is?

My janome 8900 has accu-flex. It is removable, only came with one foot. You can purchase (of course) additional feet for the accu-flex such as the stitch-in-ditch or 1/4 in foot. It's okay, don't...
