  3. Re: Sending Out a Quilt Top to be Finished or DIY?

Well I guess it's like preparing a Thanksgiving meal for the entire family by yourself. While everyone is enjoying the meal and complimenting the chef.....no one says "WOW that turkey farmer really...
  4. Re: National Park Block Borders or Just Sashing

A border around each block and sashing would actually be redundant (unless your borders were a different color than the sashing).

If you want the fabric surrounding your blocks to be all the same...

Re: different fabrics on quilt top

Didn't Jenny just do a tutorial recently using annel charms and regular cotton yardage?

I think it would make an interesting textural quilt.

    Re: Question for longarmers

Thank you ladies for the reassurance that my thought process is on track. I bought the fabric today (5yards) and measured the width, I'll end up with a backing of 87×90, so it's big enough to clear...

  16. Re: How To Make A "Trip Around The World" Quilt the EASY WAY!

My DH watched the video with me this morning. He wants one! Which tickles me, as much as he loves his quilts, he doesn't usually get so excited about one that he picks out the pattern. Guess I...

Re: Help me re-create this log cabin

What I see is that the last two strips (one white, one blue) in each block are snowballed to create a quarter of the star. Of course I'm looking at it on a really tiny screen though.
  19. Re: Need help - how to fix warped cutting mat? (and a warning!)

I just checked the Olaf website, sadly they say there is no way to remove warping, and recommend using the mat for paper cutting :(

    Suzanne, they are lovely.

I am curious though, I am assuming that VQC is your local quilt club (guild), but can you tell us about the program the quilts are for?

Re: Thanks - item came in 3-4 days

Kudos to MSQ, sure they occasionally make mistakes with an order - just like any other company, but they are so quick to rectify the mistake.
