    Re: Welcome Tuesday

    Good morning all,

It was a late night for me. I tried to watch the election results but as they were coming in from the western provinces, I woke myself up snoring. So shut the light. By then the...
  2. Re: Please help me decide thread color for quilting...help

How about battleship gray. This is my multicoloured quilt. LAQ suggested gray. I love it as it blends with all colours .
Preview threads on your quilt. It will reveal itself.

    Re: remember when?

I'm glad you had a nice break. I remember and love days without technology. Although not quite removed, we had no phone, except for cells and didn't even go near the TV.

    Good morning Joy,
Last day at the retreat. It's been a fun bunch of women. There are only 4 of us quilters and the other 9 are all young women in their 30s-40s making garments. They are awe...

    Re: Pattern Name

I would say this is just a sashed block. Use your 10" square, add a 2 1/2" border of side of each block, then add sashing between rows. Layer cakes generally have 42 blocks so you should be good to...

  20. Re: Sending Out a Quilt Top to be Finished or DIY?

I have sent some King size to LAQ, not just because of size but lack of time to do it myself. I also have a Sweet 16 and use this for the majority of my quilts. I have also rented a HQ Amara to...
