    Re: Wonky border

Hi Sharyn J, I just watched your youtube advice about borders and although I have been using a similar method for a long time, the method you share is very much simpler. Thank you.

Congratulations on your decision Chris. This quilt is stunning so far and as you say, it is after all, YOUR quilt and in the end only needs to please you. I am in awe!

I use invisible thread a lot and am really pleased with the result BUT would highly recommend that it be a very good brand. I use YLI.

Re: Storage of fabric used on project

I manage mine like Myrna and it works very well for me too. I hang the strips and they are always ready without having to do endless tedious sorting and ironing before I can start a new scrappy.

    Great information, Leo. Thank you.
  11. Re: Increase stitch length when sewing binding onto quilt top?

Thanks for that tip Peggi. I will try it next time. I use the same length stitch (3.0) and walking foot that I use for quilting. Works for me.
  12. Re: What have you purchased that you never use or would never buy again?

I thought I had found the answer to a maiden's prayer when I bought an LED Bendy Light to attach to my older style machine. It was not cheap but wonderful while it worked. The promised 6000 hours...

Re: do you use bicycle clips....

My experience with them too Ali - more hindrance than help. I like Leah Day's scrunch, scrunch, flatten method to manoeuvre the quilt around. All the best with whatever you decide Patio Gal.
