  2. Re: Anyone make a dresden block that fits on a 10" square?

Here's a great tutorial for making your own dresden plate template. I didn't want to spend the money on the ruler, so I experimented with making my own template. It works and I was glad because my...

  4. Re: Which Block Magazine is Antique Lace Quilt pattern in?

Could be wrong, but I don't think it's been published to the Block magazine. The pattern is available and there is a youtube video for the quilt. It's a lovely pattern.

    Re: WIP - Sept 20-26, 2019

Found the hint on the internet. I wrap the two ends with some masking tape to make sure the ends stay together until I' m done. The tape removes easily and no sticky residue.

    Re: WIP - Sept 20-26, 2019

Get another pool noodle the same size diameter and connect them by rolling a magazine or newspaper inserted into each pool noodle. You can cut them to the extra length you need. It works for me. I...

    Re: WIP - Sept 20-26, 2019

Going to sew my backing together and hopefully get this sandwiched today. Emma's Garden fabrics have been sitting around here too long! I used the pool noodles last quilt to sandwich and it worked...

    Re: Oil for Juki 2010q

For my 2010Q I use Zoom sewing machine oil. It has a spout attached and costs $6.50 for a bottle from Amazon. I'm sure it's available from other sources as well.

I make one similar to Suzanne's.

    Broccoli cut into small bites
    Purple onion sliced
Sliced almonds (or any nut you prefer)
    Dried cranberries
    Julienne carrots
    Pomegranate seeds (I use red...

Re: MSQC Thread in Juki 2010Q

I have a 2010Q and normally use Aurifil 50 wt with BottomLine in the bobbin. That requires a small tension adjustment on my machine, usually the top tension dial for the Aurifil and a tiny...

    Re: ideal temperature

Electronics do not do well in extreme heat or cold. Your attic could reach temperatures over 150 degrees in the summer. Humidity is just as bad. Please store your machine somewhere in your home...

Poll: Re: What do you like best

I like the narrow medium gray sashing, but without the hst's. The blocks are busy so IMO the plain sashing brings calmness.

    Re: WIP - August 2-8, 2019

Good morning! Looks like we're going to have a cooler week in the low 80's and much less humidity. That's my kind of weather.

I decided to start on my Gustav Klimpt wall hanging. Honestly, I...

    Re: What a daily deal!!!

I ordered. They are the large spools 1422 yds size. It's a great price.

Per the Aurifil site: The smallest are spools are only 220 yds and the large cones are 6452 yards. I don't use either...
