  1. Re: Janome 6650 Craft Computerized Machine

My DIL looked up the machine and it is $1699. The problem is that regular Janome dealers won't service it ( they have some strict dealership rules on machines sold outside of their regular stores)....
  2. Re: Polyester fleece blanket batting?

I made some souvenir "Linus Blanket" quilts for the cast of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and used only poly fleece for the backing/ batting. They turned out great and were just heavy enough...
  3. Re: Handi-Quilter Long Arm Retreat in the Summer?

I took a class from Courtney at the education center last week. The Handiquilter class will be held in her classroom. She didn't tell me the exact date of the class.

    Re: Packing slip stop complaining

I have never received a Missouri Star package with no packing slip inside. You can look up your orders easily to check what you ordered and see if it is all there or packed correctly once you get...

  9. Re: I Disliked Joining Strips - I Started Using QR's Mini-Triangle Ruler

I drew a line on my machine for the seamline. As long as my notch from where the two strips cross stay on that line, the seam will be a perfect 45 degree angle. Much faster to sew first then...

    Re: bosal??? and ith

The Bosal for the rugs is different from the foam. It is basically a thin batting cut into strips. The placemat Bosal is a very heavily starched and compressed batting. All three of these products...

    Re: bosal??? and ith

I have made several of the wreaths using Bosal for the center. It is a fusible foam with a thin fabric coating. It comes in fusible on a single side, both sides or not fusible. You can buy it in...

    Re: Ruler quilting

There are rulers for long arms, they are 1/4" thick. Westalee makes rulers for domestic machines, they are thinner. Don't use the thinner ones on a longarm.

Re: Anyone buy fabric from Amazon?

Amazon is somehow connected with Fabric.com. At least Fabric.com takes Amazon credit cards and uses their member info. Doesn't Amazon know everything about everybody these days?

    Re: Charms on point expanded

Doing it Jenny's way will always yield a square, even adding blocks as Katrina said. I would say the only option would be to build a square the size you want the length to be and trim down the side...

  24. Re: Janome 6650 Craft Computerized Machine

Wow! That is incredible! My Janome dealer ( for 25 years!) retired a couple of years ago and I can't find another one with his stock of machines. I bought a Janome 1600 clone (Singer S16) 4 years...
