    Re: Thursday Hellos! :)

Good morning Joy and all who follow,

Sunny and cool - doesn't get better than this. Yesterday I did about 4 hours of yardwork - burning weeds in the pavers, deadheading the geraniums and flowers....

Jocelyn, what a proud grandma with her adorable grandson. Congratulations again.

Sorry, not much help with fonts. Whatever is on DH's machine is what I use.

    Katrina - I posted on Joy's thread.

I hope you can get to Quiltfest. That would be wonderful. I would so enjoy this.
  5. Re: Hump Day! Hello Wednesday! :)

    Good morning quilty friends,

Oh another gorgeous day. Joy - I read that you are busy, busy getting ready for your son's visit and fall cleaning. I could use some of your energy and drive right...
  6. Re: REPLAY: Tour of the Missouri Star Education Center with Misty and Courtenay

How wonderful. When I was in Hamilton last year, the retreat centre was on the corner next to shops. This sounds like it has moved to a larger location, still nearby. It looks beautiful and I'm...

    Re: Summer School baby quilt

Your quilt is adorable. I know what you mean about too many finished quilts in cedar chest. I. Have to start thinking of storage or display options.
  8. Re: How to quilt a runner that has a patterned design

I think the center portion would look nice with a meander or simple swirl. You don't want to take away from the design. Do whatever feels comfortable, or you could be daring and try a new design.

    Re: Have you heard

It's starting to feel like fall. Haven't heard the geese getting ready yet to go south. When they do it's like marching bands. It's been cool since we got back, and all our autumn sedums have turned...

    Re: Quilt Culture

Denise - I didn't realize someone telling me 'Bless your heart' was a mean thing. But then again I am French, so a lot of the English sayings / expressions I didn't hear growing up, and don't always...

    Re: Quilt Culture

This is the first time I hear of the Quilting Cowboy, but I feel sorry that any individual has had to post a video on the negative treatment that he has received by a few in the quilting world.

    I...

Re: It's great to be here!

Welcome Berber from the burbs of Canada's capital. I have also been sewing since I was about 11 but quilting 4 years ago. A real addiction but it will leave generations covered in my love.
  22. Re: SID with flannel on bottom, thread, needle size

I treat it the thickness the same as a regular quilt. I do lengthen the stitch to 3 or 3.5.
