    Re: Ultimate Flying Geese Ruler

Sorry I do not have an answer for you but wanted to add that makes me crazy, they need to say finished sizes if they are.

    Re: Lone Star

There is a Cozy Quilt pattern called Almost Alone Star and Donna Jordan has a video on making it, I know it isn't quite the same but I sure do like it and you might, too..

    Re: WIP - July 19-25, 2019

I plan on finishing the fmq on a quilt I don't really like today. There are just one and a half borders left to quilt, I might even get the binding put on it and hang it in my breakfast room to...

Re: How wide should a border be?

I usually decide border width by how much border fabric I have to use. Lots of fabric equals a wider border.

    Re: Sunday Morning Greetings! :)

Navy is so very hard to match. I recently got a pair of navy slacks to go with a navy/pink roses print blouse. It is good that the pink area is near the hem as the navy isn't quite right. I am not...

Re: variation on my charm pack wreaths

Those are wonderful. Did you paint the centers yourself? If you bought them where did they come from, please?

I like Bonnie's ideas but don't like those teeny tiny pieces. When I am done with a project and have leftovers smaller than a layercake I do cut them into 2 1/2" squares that then go into a basket by...

    Re: Friday greetings

I thought Macy's fireworks were spectacular and their music choices fantastic once the live music segment was over. I had never watched and didn't know they had a 4th of July show but we were at my...

    Re: ALMOST Alone Star!

    I really like that.
I am about to do a quilt for my 5yo dgs and don't want to do any particular theme so he won't outgrow it quickly, this is a great pattern for a boy. Of course I will pick some...
  14. Re: What's cooking at your house for the 4th of July celebrations?

Since it is just us this year we are doing a pack of pork backs on the grill with some beans frozen after a Memorial day event.
  15. Re: FREE Pattern - Easy Pieced Table Runner Series - August

That is very cute, specially the applique design. Beware that once you slice this up that all the seams will be bias edges. I recently made a top in a similar design [no applique] and it is a bit...

    Re: It's Tuesday.

    Happy Tuesday!
Today I am going to help DIL get some packing done. They are moving the end of next week to a new to them house in a great school district, hooray! Her mother and sister will also...

    Re: newest finish

The pattern is granny stars from an old Fons and Porter magazine.
Thanks so much for all the lovely comments.
I wanted to make one that looked really old and cuddly, it seems I succeded.

    Re: Help from Diabetics, please

Jello instant pudding, sugar free and add sliced banana. Is there such a thing as sugar free vanilla wafers, maybe another type sugar free cookie to make it banana pudding?

edit to add that I am...

    Re: newest finish

It really wasn't too hard. I used a clover binding maker which makes single not double binding. I think that made it contour better. I also sewed the front down before the scallop was trimmed. I...
  24. the other new finish on the other bed

Here are the shams and quilt finished and on the bed. This pattern has what seems like millions of hst, it will be a while before I do any more of them.:icon_heh:
