    Re: Quilting a string quilt

    Re: Too many quilting ideas!

I finished four in the last couple of weeks. Gave myself permission to start a new one even though there are still many more UFOs waiting.

    Re: cutting hand quilted quilts

Maybe do a double row of stay stitching before adding the binding. If the quilts won’t be used or laundered much they’d probably be okay.
  7. Re: Anyone going to Thanksgiving Point Quilt Show at Salt Lake City

I might be going but won’t be taking any classes. I hope they make this a yearly event.

Maybe separate into small groups of similar colors and sell them by the bag.

Re: Using up scrap pile while I embroider

That was the first machine I bought after getting married. It was a good little machine. Sometimes I wish I still had it. Oh, and the quilt is lovely.

Maybe they’re a member who isn’t active, just reading posts but not participating. Would that be a lurker?

    My Serendipity

This is my take on the Serendipity pattern. I finished the top a while back but just got around to quilting it. And of course our little Daisy had to get in the picture. I somehow ended up with extra...

    Re: Rag quilting question

I made a couple of rag quilts and didn’t use any flannel at all. Just quilting cotton front and back and batting in the middle.

Re: Charged for a punch card

I don’t understand the part about not taking the cards seriously. If you give a free card and the customer doesn’t use it when they’re at the store it’s the customer’s loss. If they think paying for...

Sorry for your loss. We had to make that difficult decision for one of our little ones recently. (My avatar) I still miss her but have many fond memories. I hope your memories will help you through...

Re: A wealth of good ideas and information!

Has anyone been able to find the prequilt app? My search in the App Store came up blank.

    I found it. It’s online. Here’s a link.

  22. Re: What became from my Farmer's Wife Sampler blocks...

I wasn’t in the group but Farmer’s Wife was my hand piecing project when I’d visit my parents in assisted living. I haven’t worked on it since they passed a few years ago. I never planned to make all...

    Re: M class bobbin warpage

I was told when I bought mine that since they’re aluminum they could bend out of shape if dropped.
  24. Re: Friend, making her first quilt, wishes to use 1" or higher loft to achieve a comforter look.

I did a somewhat high loft quilt for my granddaughter a couple of years ago. It was a polyester batting that I’d had for a while, not one inch but thicker than I usually use. I stitched in the ditch...
