    Choose fabrics in the same color way (colors that you love to work with) and intensity and do a disappearing nine-patch. Use a constant fabric in the center. Easy and quick quilt and the result...

    I do binding with the back frequently, particularly on items that will be laundered a lot. Start your sewing roughly in the middle of one of the sides that has less give or stretch in the back...

    If you rulers don't have eighths, perhaps this will help. If your rulers have 4ths, then it would be right between the third and fourth.
