    Re: Serging the binding.

I've never sergered a quilt, but when I make mug rugs, coasters, etc, I always serger instead of binding. I use wooly nylon in both loopers and do a 3 thread overlock stitch to help it fill in...

    Re: I dont like Charms...but......

I used a Halloween charm pack to make my DH a runner for his hospital table. I think charms are great for smaller projects.

Poll: Re: What is your go-to binding method?

I do mine just like Liberty. Hand sewing does look very nice but I won't even sew a button on by hand anymore. If I can't do it by machine, it doesn't get done!

    Re: Babylock

I have a Symphony and it is an awesome machine. Until the Crescendo came out in 2012, the Symphony was Babylocks TOL sewing only machine. Yes, it was intimidating at first but it truly is easy to...
  7. Re: What kind of CHAIR do you sit on to sew?

You can remove the chair arms. That's what I did to my office chair. Set the arms aside in case I want/need to put them back on.

Re: I need help with braid pattern

This is a friendship braid, not a french braid but the principle is the same. You want your square the same length as your strip. You can get up to a King size quilt with one jellyroll from this...

Re: EB and the Missouri Star

I did the monthly quilt club last year. It started out real good but each month the webinar got so bad I couldn't even watch it. Love EB but won't do another one.

    Re: Shape cut sprint ruler

I also have the shape Cut Pro and it is one of my most used rulers. You might check shoppers rule! I *think* that is where I got mine after doing comparison shopping for price. Do shop around tho,...
  23. Re: Which way to go Babylock Symphony or a Pfaff 7570

When SVP bought Pfaff at bankruptcy, they promptly destroyed all parts, so as to make it hard to repair the original Pfaff machines. Bernina is still owned by Bernina but the Pfaff's built after...
  24. Re: Which way to go Babylock Symphony or a Pfaff 7570

From someone who owns both machines. The Pfaff 7570 is one GREAT machine.....but unless you are getting it really cheap, I would go with the Babylock symphony. Reasons; the last 7570 was built in...

Re: Cotton vs Poly - a myth?

I guess I break all the rules, no quilt police allowed at my house. I use Maxi lock thread for both piecing and quilting. I have lots of it from when I used my serger a lot so now I'm still...
