Re: How Would You Quilt This Top?

Are you a member of a quilt guild? If so, ask if any of the quilters would like to do a trade. Maybe trade a quilt top for quilting or hand sewing binding down on their quilts.

    Re: Weird thought

Are you making the pattern from Jordan Fabrics?

I think it would be really great to give each some napkins.
  3. Re: Help! Need gift ideas for co-workers -- $10 or less

One year I made mini loaves of sweet bread. Spent one afternoon baking and found clear plastic wrap in red and in green. Gave 3 loaves in different flavors to each recipient. They really loved it....

    Re: Goofy computer problem

    Here's what I use:
    https://www.amazon.com/Fon-Porter-Threading-Needles-12-Count/dp/B000J3X5YG

When I quilt on my longarm and the thread breaks in a very visible place, I unquilt to get long...

    Re: Rag quilt

I have made only one so far. I used flannel in the middle also. I bought 3 Sahara Minky layer cakes from M*. There's only 20 squares to a minky layer cake and these were actually 11" squares. So...

    Re: Yemen quilt size?

A Queen mattress is 60" X 80" so with the 93" X 93" you would get about the same amount hanging on the sides and the bottom of the mattress. Wish I had measured my mattress before making a quilt...

    Re: White noise machine?

I use a fan. I'm hot natured so it does double duty. The noise it creates covers up a lot of annoying sounds.
  12. Re: Help, please?? Used bad adhesive; ruined precious quilt!

    That's an excellent idea.

Any chance you would share that recipe with us?

I'm another one that likes chocolate and peanut butter in my oatmeal.

Some people will put anything in the microwave. I made hot pads for a friend of mine and I told her to not put it in the microwave.
Insulbright should never go in the microwave. My friend forgot...

Try using a Wave Edge ruler.

Much safer and I found that it's easier to cut with the smallest blade that you have.

Re: Making cat quilt, looking for fabric

Find out what her favorite color is and use a very light pastel in that color.

There are so many colors in that fabric that you have a lot to choose from.
