    Re: Popular quilted items

I would do mug rugs. Someone could pick up that and the local honey for a nice gift.

    Re: Houston

I lobe the Houston Quilt Festival! This year I didn't get to take a class, but I did meet Jenny and Victoria Wolfe. I have also taken some outstanding classes.

Re: Any advice on Accuquilt or other systems?

I love, love, love my big shot pro! For me it is as much about time saving as it is about ease of cutting. It will take all of the accuquilt dies except their very biggest (I think jumbo studio?). ...

You might be able to do it with the newest cricut explore, but I don't know for sure.

I would look at the brother scan n cut for what you want to do though.

    Big shot pro amazon

Amazon is having a prime early access deal on the big shot pro at 8. It should be available to everyone at 8:30.

    Re: Met jenny and more

Good to know. They were actually out of stock of it and the guide bar for the dual feed foot. Do you find that you like binding with the special foot better than the dual fed foot?

    Re: Met jenny and more

Thanks! Hands down the best thing about living in Houston is getting to go to quilt festival. I was shocked that I got to meet them both as I didn't look up either of them to see if they were going...

    Re: Met jenny and more

Yes! A group of ladies totally jumped the line, and my mom and I were next. She leaned in, and said I'll be with you in just a sec, and then was super nice to them too. It didn't bother me one...

    Met jenny and more

I had so much fun at the Houston quilt festival. I went to the MSQC bot, and was so happy to see Jenny! She was so nice in person, and signed a block magazine for me.

    I also got to meet...

Re: What Are You Watching on Craftsy All Access Pass?

Artisan bread in just a few minutes a day is awesome! I can't wait to try it. I also really liked Eleanor Burns accuquilt class (she demonstrates things with and without the accuquilt).

Re: What Are You Watching on Craftsy All Access Pass?

I watched Fusible Appliqué made easy. It is awesome! The patterns you get make the 9.99 worth it alone! She also teaches some basic quilt as you go in the class.

Sketch, fuse it, quilt it is...
  15. Re: Buying a Sewing machine for a first time Quilter-advice requested

I would definitely see if there is a dealer in town that sells used sewing machines. You can get a lot more sewing machine for the money that way. I would get a machine with the biggest throat...
