Re: What is a scant 1/4"

I always see it as sew to the outside of the line instead of ON the line. (Outside being the edge of the fabric - so you would be making a smaller seam)

    Re: Paper Templates--Questions??

Be sure you are checking for the seam allowance. If it is for paper piecing, then the seam allowances are not there. If they are paper templates, then they should be there.

  6. Re: What batting do you prefer? Pro's and con's appreciated!

I love the bamboo --it is so soft and drapes really well. But, I would also like some kind of batting that does not shrink and does not need to be preshrunk. Some quilts I make I really don't want...

    Re: Help with quilt colors..

You might be able to brighten the quilt up with borders and cornerstones. Sometimes it is easy to get the wrong impression from a quilt when it is not completed yet. You would be amazed at how a dark...

Re: QUESTION ON COLOR FOR BOARDER

I would not use white because there is off white and cream in the blocks but NO white. Perhaps it is just a personal viewpoint, but I don't like to mix white and cream on the same quilt unless it is...

Re: How do you separate your stash fabrics?

I don't sort by color, fabric goes in and out of the stash so quickly.

I have totes that I store projects in - that is things that I am working on, or am compiling fabric for. These are lined up...
