    Re: Boxes od Strings

Thanks for sharing it, ktdid. I have been so pleased that several people have enjoyed making this (there was a quilt-along on QB, so I got to see several different versions). It is, indeed, easy and...

I know it is a very difficult time--I hope the antics of the Little Sisters help to lighten the dark days. Take care of yourselves.

    Cherry Mash

I made this as a mystery quilt with Kevin the Quilter. I call it Cherry Mash because the colors remind me of the old-fashioned candy made here in Missouri. The quilt is 75" x 92".

    Three More Donation Quilts

I've made a bunch of these the last two years. All 3.5" squares, and these have pieced backs and bindings as well. I've used a lot of scraps, but there are many more to use! The quilts are 62" x 74"....

    Re: Expecting a Baby!

This will be my second grand; however, the older is 13 years old, so it has been a long time between babies. :)

    Expecting a Baby!

    No, not I!

My son and his wife will be parents in November. What is an Abuela to do in that situation? Make a quilt, of course!

I was going to try to make a calm, sedate baby quilt, but my...

    Re: No Passport Required

I have since learned that this layout is also called Boston Commons. I wish I'd known that when I was trying to figure it out!

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words.

    No Passport Required

I call this "No Passport Required." It is a Trip Around the World pattern on point and is made with fabrics representing places all over the globe. It is a big one--112" x 122"--quilted on my DSM....

    Disappearing Nine-Patches for Donation

A lovely quilting friend sent me some fabrics from her stash. I combined them with a little fabric of my own, and Voila! I'll take these for donation around Thanksgiving time.

    Made from a spiderweb quilt string pattern--70" x 78".

It is very pink! :) If you look closely, you might find Waldo.
