    Re: Not quilting but finished

    Thanks you guys!
I have no pattern so that made it challenging.

It was actually rather fun to figure out.

    Not quilting but finished

I am learning to make totes.
It doesn't involve quilting but hey it is done and functional.

It is fully lined so has a nice finished look inside and out.

It is a new skill for me.
  3. Re: Looking for specific Daisy Kingdom quilt top pattern!

Awesome find!! I really hope they come back and see it.
  4. Re: Looking for specific Daisy Kingdom quilt top pattern!

That might be a tough mission!

Maybe an omage to the quilt can be done and still loved.
I found iron on transfers that seem to match the description of the bunnies in the wagon....

    Re: Today's DD

I don't read it as 2.5. I read it as Vintage happy 2 (being the collection name) and followed by 5" stackers.
It is confusing with that "2" right next to the " 5" .

Re: HOW TO BRAID A QUILT!!

Interesting look to that quilt. I like the dark background better than the white but that is certainly just a preference.

Very pretty and the quilting is gorgeous.
  11. Re: What is this tool? It appears to be for sewing, not quilting.

I love my seam guage. I use mine to double check my 1/4" seams all the time.
I am going to try JCY's binding use.

Re: What are your thoughts please

To me it looks like this combined with 4 patch blocks.

Re: Not quilting BUT good for craft fairs.

I totally agree! Way to many sue happy people out there. We use body harnesses for walking and collars as tag holders.

Re: Not quilting BUT good for craft fairs.

I just ordered the stuff for 1" wide leashes. I can make 10 leashes 6 ' long for $28 including tax but not including any fabric. That makes each leash $2.80 so well under $5 even with fabric.

Not quilting BUT good for craft fairs.

Ok I know this is not quilting but I have been making these for my BIG dogs. For my really big dogs the total cost is under $3 including my 2.5" strip of fabric.

Re: Picking a pattern for group quilt

I would look for a pattern that if the blocks are trimmed the pattern is not lost. Something that doesn't have matching points from block to block might work.
