    Re: Ruler quilting

I have a Sweet 16 and use rulers A LOT. It's the only way I can sew straight lines and also even curves and designs. I find that Ruler work is a bit slower than if I free motion but I love the...

    Saturday greetings

    Good day,
Another perfect weather day - sunny, cool with rising temps later.

I wasn't feeling well yesterday so I skipped my friend's mom funeral. It's not a close friend, more of an...

    WIP - Sept 20-26, 2019

September is just flying away, last week already. What are you working on?

I didn't do much sewing as we were away, but Wed-Fri, I had a few hours to cut 30 tea towels of waffle weave. I wash...

    Re: Need a sewing machine

    Welcome to the forum.

If you plan to use it only for piecing and sewing, there's no need to spend big money on fancy stitches or embroidery. One thing I have found essential is the larger harp ...

    Re: Cataract Surgery went well

I'm happy to hear that your surgery was better than expected. Take time to heal before your second eye.

    Re: Good Morning, Friday! :)

    Good morning all,
Another gorgeous day - taking it all in while it lasts.

Yesterday was busy - in the morning, I sewed the edges of 20 tea towels that I cut & serged Wednesday evening. I still...

    Re: Question about craft fairs

I wouldn't pay for a list of craft fairs, especially if you are new to this.

I'm not certain what exists where you live. Have you been to any shows locally that were well attended? Check out...

Re: Greetings from The Big Easy!

Welcome to the forum and greetings from Orleans, suburb of Canada's capital. Try to keep ahead of the UFO tops. One by one, they will get done, then magically you will notice they multiply.

Congratulations on your new machine. I don't have a Babylock but I do sew fast. I might have to give this one a spin in future.

    Re: Thursday Hellos! :)

Good morning Joy and all who follow,

Sunny and cool - doesn't get better than this. Yesterday I did about 4 hours of yardwork - burning weeds in the pavers, deadheading the geraniums and flowers....

Sorry, not much help with fonts. Whatever is on DH's machine is what I use.

    Katrina - I posted on Joy's thread.

I hope you can get to Quiltfest. That would be wonderful. I would so enjoy this.
  21. Re: Hump Day! Hello Wednesday! :)

Oh another gorgeous day. Joy - I read that you are busy, busy getting ready for your son's visit and fall cleaning. I could use some of your energy and drive right...
  22. Re: REPLAY: Tour of the Missouri Star Education Center with Misty and Courtenay

    Re: Summer School baby quilt

Your quilt is adorable. I know what you mean about too many finished quilts in cedar chest. I. Have to start thinking of storage or display options.
  24. Re: How to quilt a runner that has a patterned design
