    Re: Prewashing batting

See, I don't mind the crinkles in a quilt. In fact, I think it looks better and cosier with them!

So no pre-washing for me! :D

Re: Is Houston THE quilt show to attend ?

I'd love to go to Quiltcon in Austin, which is organised by the Modern Quilt Guild.

Re: Printed Quilt Label Using Computer

Iluvbaking, your ink jet printer will work fine!

Three tips I use for my labels:

    - Make sure the piece of fabric you're using doesn't fray. That gets stuck in the printer and might hurt it and...

    Re: A Very Small Rant....

I've watched some videos by Fons&Porter, but there's just a lot of talking and not enough action for me.

I also subscribed to one of their newsletter, because they promised a free magazine....

Re: Star Quilt, I'm calling it done.

    It looks great!

But I'd also say yes to borders! I'd add the same colour and size brown strip that you have at the top and bottom to the sides and the possibly a lighter colour for a border all...

    Re: Math problem

    Here you go!

Though I'd cut them a little bigger, that's easier to square up! So at least 4 1/2" for 2 1/2" HSTs.

    Re: Boy, it's chilly outside!

There are some great winter recipes around!

I personally love broccoli soup or also pea with coconut milk soup. Just had one this week (took it out of the freezer and thought it was broccoli,...

I don't have it, so can't really say anything about it.

Though I think I really like the quilt in your avatar. Do you happen to have a bigger pic of it?

Re: I participated in a exhabition today......

The quilts look great, no wonder they wanted to use so many of them! What a great accomplishment, you can be proud of your quilts!

Re: Japan Yokohama quilt festival 2014

Wow! Thanks, Maria! These are some gorgeous quilts!

I see a lot of appliqued and less pieced quilts. Is that traditional for Japanese quilts or is it just "in" at the moment?

I've ordered zippers from dhgate.com. Great price, but it takes a while to get to you (shipping is free though).

Re: A Question about Honey Buns

So far, I've always cut from yardage. I enjoy preparing the fabric (if there are not too many of them!) and cutting them into strips. The only problem I usually have is that my back starts hurting...
  22. Re: Did you notice? New International Shipping Rates!!! YEAH!!

Doesn't change much for me! I try to not order anything above $62 to avoid any additional taxes and to pay $25 just for shipping makes ordering a bit senseless...

    None.

I prefer modern quilts which are often not constructed with blocks.

    Re: Giveaway Week 43 Oct 31st - Nov 7th

Hmmm...if ever, then Christmas. I had an idea for a general Christmas gift for everybody, but it's not exactly quilted - sewn though!
