  3. Re: My solution to reducing quilt drag

Yep these will mount to pretty much any surface. So if you have your machine on a table or in a cabinet you could use this instead of surrounding your sewing area with tables to hold the quilt up.
  4. Re: My solution to reducing quilt drag

It's a large clamp so I'd imagine it will fit most tables and surfaces. Easily padded! The bracket is very flat too so it gives it lots of stability when you tighten it down.

    I ordered mine...
  5. My solution to reducing quilt drag

I had to share my latest tool find! It's kind of off the wall but it was the perfect solution for me to pick big quilts up off the floor while I'm doing FMQ on my domestic or sit-down longarm...
  6. Re: My new quilting studio! (PIC HEAVY)

Now that I've got a place to sew again I plan to! It's been a crazy few months trying to find a house, closing on it and now we're selling the old one. I haven't done hardly any quilting since...
  7. Re: My new quilting studio! (PIC HEAVY)

Yes that is the famous Dr. Jones (father of Indiana Jones). Theres a story behind it but now he lives in my studio and watches me quilt. :)
  8. My new quilting studio! (PIC HEAVY)

I moved into a new house a few weeks ago and finally got most of my studio setup. I still need to hang quilts but at least it is functional again. Whew! Thought I'd share photos of the new space.

You can and some people do a combination of strips and squares. I prefer the look of all squares instead of a combination. It looks more pixelated to me that way.

    You can also piece this...
  10. Re: Big problems with Husqvarna Viking Sewing/Embroidery machines

My main issue with the whole thing was the dealer and the very poor way they handled the situation. It soured me on the whole brand. I know if the dealer ISNT located in JoAnns it seems they are run...

    Re: New Toy! Meet Anne

The dealer. I don't have a Handiquilter dealer near me so that was out. I won't buy a machine unless I have a dealer nearby to take care of me. The Pfaff Powerquilter 16.0 is actually made by...

    Re: New Toy! Meet Anne

Thanks Sandy! And yes I did them - it's the first thing I tried. My right side came out better than the left. I remembered trying the Sweet Sixteen and preferred not having a stitch regulator so I...

Well the original plan was to take myself on a quilting cruise next year. I ended up deciding this would be a better investment for me. The puppy was a separate conversation but I don't think we'll...

    Re: New Toy! Meet Anne

LOL nope, three is our limit. I tried talking DH into a fourth corgi and he didn't budge. He did however relent on the Powerquilter after I talked to him about it.

    New Toy! Meet Anne

That's Anne with an "E" (named after one of my favorite literary characters Anne of Green Gables). She's my new Pfaff Powerquilter 16.0!

    Re: Craftsy Class Question

I found a free embroidery file and stitched it out months ago not knowing what I was going to do with it. I decided it deserved to be on a bag so I could show it off. It's one of my favorite...
