    Re: Big Stitch Quilting Questions

When I was able to hand quilt, I used Perle 8 for big stitch quilting. I also used a 15" quilting hoop that I was able to use while sitting in my comfy recliner.

    Re: Hello Wednesday!

Good morning. Late starting this morning. Late start Wednesday for the grands, so I get to sleep in on Wed. Didn't get much done in the way of sewing yesterday. Spent the entire day running errands...

    Re: BMB Results

So sorry to hear such disconcerting news. You had every right to yell at the doctor, with his 'not my problem' attitude. Pretty sure I would searching for a new oncologist. Will continue prayers for...

    Re: Machine lifespan

Unfortunately, we live in a throw away society, so sadly many do end up in landfills. I personally would not spend $150 to repair a machine that only cost $200 to begin with. If everyone with broken...

    Re: What is taboo

Mix away. It is your quilt. There are no rules about mixing fabrics. Do what makes you happy. I personally love me some metallics in Winter and Fall quilts.
  10. Re: Names and types of fabrics in each of the shops in Hamilton

This is a map of all the shops in town. It is pretty easy to navigate. Everything is right there within a 2 block area. If you are facing the main shop...down to the right is The Mercantile, and...

    Re: Machine lifespan

I would not consider that a throw away machine. Take it to an authorized Brother repairman though to have it serviced and repaired. My guy charges $150 just to look at it, to clean and for general...

Your spin on the retreat is quite interesting.
There have not been 40 in attendees since the 3rd year. There are only allowed to have 37. We have averaged between 25 and 30....there were a few...

    Re: Polyester fleece blanket batting?

If the sheets have already been washed, they have already shrunk. Generally poly fleece will not shrink at all because it is basically made of plastic. I doubt that you would have any kind of weird...
