    It's finally Friday

    Good morning all,
I thought I would get thread going. Monique is enjoying some time away, and I wish I was there.

Yesterday was busy with Dorothy. We cut 2 1/2 bolts of batting and 4 x 30y...
  2. Re: Stonehendge "Reptile Ruckus" Panel Baby Quilt is Finished!

These are beautiful Joy, and your quilting is stunning. Makes me want to pull out all those baby panels that I have.

I think I make this a goal this winter, tackle baby fabric bin.

    Re: Jelly rolls

Lorie - I also had trouble with the 3 dudes pattern. Mostly because my GF bought a jelly roll, and then we decided to make it a queen/king size. All I could find was yardage which worked well, but...
  4. Re: Thank you. Great shipping to Canada.

The day I ordered wasn't a free shipping day. So the shipping was regular fee of $10.US = ~$14. CDN depending on exchange rate. It was shipped FedEx Economy. This is better option than what was used...

    Re: Steam from Irons

I also set seams w/o steam. I do steam press the blocks as I go. If a block is not the exact measurements as the pattern, I steam it into submission, also using Best Press keeps it square.

  6. Re: Hello from a not so cold Thursday

Sherri - that's a tough pill to swallow. I'm sorry that your husband isn't more sympathetic. I respect your decision to uphold wedding vows, and stick it out. It's your decision. But surely he has...
  7. Re: Hello from a not so cold Thursday

Good day all / bonjour tous,

There's light flurries and -8C. A true winter scene -- I just wish I could stay in today, but not going to happen. This morning I am going with my GF to cut 3 rolls...
  8. Thank you. Great shipping to Canada.

I know that M* has been listening to our concerns about shipping times, delays and lack of tracking on orders

I placed an order on a Saturday Nov 9th, and didn't expect shipping until Monday,...
  9. Re: It is a bitter cold Wednesday

Brrr - boy it's cold out there. Currently -12 Celsius, and will be warming up to -6C. Snow looks like it's here to stay.

I got a lot of small projects and items nagging me done in the sewing room...

I agree. That's why I'm hoping it comes on sale. My last Oliso (yellow one) cost $149.CDN.

Re: I just had to get it.

Congratulations. I saw it and I'm trying to resist, hoping it comes on sale one day. My Oliso died last year, after 4 good years & unintentional abuse of being yanked and hitting the concrete floor...

    Re: It's a white Tuesday

It's beginning to feel a lot like xmas.... Woke up to this. It was to be 4" but I think we got more. Going to hibernate and decide later today if I will go to Guild meeting tonight. DH got the...
  15. Re: Pre Wash Kona Cotton yardage??

I use Kona a lot, and you didn't say what colour you are using. If it's a beige-white and light colours, you would be ok. My first quilt had Royal Kona as background colour. I washed the yardage and...

    Good morning everyone,

Thanks to all the men and women who gave their lives, have served or are currently serving. We shall never forget. It will be a cold one today, and we are expecting 4" of...

    Re: Never say never

Wow that could happen to any one of us.

I usually tell people how to use, but this year I have included instructions on a card. Zap in 2 minute intervals for a maximum of 8 minutes. Do not use...

    Re: WiP Nov 8 - 14, 2019

You are not alone. Sometimes we are just too busy. In my case I had a really bad stomach flu which knocked me down for a good 10+ days. I lacked the strength and energy to do much if anything. Just...

    Good morning everyone,
It's just above zero and overcast. There could be some flurries today, but no accumulation. Joy, what a bonus to get some warm temps sprinkled here and there. I wouldn't know...

    Re: Cracker recipe?

I think some of these recipes would be delicious, and even a batch or two of them would impress any guest. Since I could control the ingredients in them, this would be good for DH allergies.
  24. Re: Saturday Morning Greetings! :)

Good morning Joy and all who follow,
I was up early, as DH alarm went off, and he's gone to help pack away the gliders and other items for the winter. He will be fed, but probably cold when he gets...
