I got a large wool mat (Precision Quilting brand) for Christmas. Just started using it today. I already love it. Why did I wait so long?
  6. Re: The Ten-foot Table Runner and the Amazing Thing that Happened

    Sally,
That's a great runner. I never would have thought to use panels. Oh, please don't hate me for mentioning that 120 inch table runners are very popular. Just look at Pottery Barn and Crate...

Re: Kaleidoscope Dreams pieced, Its a wowzer!

Wowzer , it is! That's beautiful, and complicated.

Denise, I have a question though: when a quilt is foundation pieced, are all the blocks done that way or just some? it looks like you got...

Re: How Would You Quilt This Top?

While custom quilting can be fabulous, it often overshadows the piecing. Simpler quilting would let the blocks shine. As Denise mentioned, long, curvy lines would be lovely. And you would have...

    Re: House Selling Angst

We sold our home in NJ two years ago. In NJ, as we and several friends discovered, hand money (earnest money) always gets returned and contracts are broken half the time. The reasons don't really...

Re: Laura Heine Collage Quilt Question

    Re: Search engine unreliable

    https://www.missouriquiltco.com/search?q=navy&sort.relevance=desc&filter.shop_by=Fabric+by+the+Yard&page=1

Yup, awful search engine. here's what I got using Google instead. Hope it helps.
  20. Re: Is this correct? Serenity yardage! Pricing?!

Sadly, to find what I want at M*, I search Google and look for a M* listing. I'll never find it by searching M* quilt shop itself. it is the worst search engine on the planet.

    Re: Ruler quilting

I did a quilt using 30 weight thread. Used a 100 /16 needle. 50 weight in the bobbin. Loved the way it came out. 30 is really thick, but it was right for the design.
