    Re: Overcoming a Funk

No, not really. It is important to make the little crease to align the centers of the two triangle and the lattice piece. I didn't iron them, just pinched them. I started out not doing that and found...

    Overcoming a Funk

I have really been in a funk lately, but a little Persimmon and the Lattice tutorial helped me out! Here is the small (38.5" square) quilt I made with Persimmon from Basic Grey for Moda and Jenny's...

Funny you say that because I am using it with my Persimmon charms! It is similar.

Re: Do you recognize this fabric? Need more

It is mottled like the Concrete line, but with some "brush strokes" like the Canvas line.

Re: Do you recognize this fabric? Need more

It has that kind of coloring, but has what looks like brush strokes. Very similar though.

Do you recognize this fabric? Need more

I have two fat quarters and a little yardage of this off white/cream fabric, but need more. I bought it last year, but like many near solid fabrics there is no marking in the selvage to give me the...

Re: Disappearing nine patch with layer cakes??

I used a flannel plaid layer cake to make a D9P for my son-in-law. It worked perfectly and was a big quilt fast!

So, so cute! I love scrappy bindings and it works perfectly with all the cute fabrics in this one. I need to jump into my stash and see if I can make something fun like this. Great job.

I love seeing the same pattern in different fabrics. Both of these are terrific! I have this pattern on my list. Yours are wonderful.

Thanks! Coming from the expert, I really appreciate your compliment.
  14. Deby Coles (So Sew Easy) Conference Bag Sew-along complete

I've been following the bag sew-along at So Sew Easy for the past couple weeks. I've never made a proper bag and Deby Coles does a great job of providing lessons in her videos and written directions....

I get in a slump when I do a thorough job of cleaning my sewing room. I have an aversion to messing it up again. Lesson: never clean my sewing room :D

Very important. I was shopping online and thought I had found some killer deals. When I read the description I found that some of the 10" square bundles were not the full set. This isn't true at M*,...

    Re: Jacobs ladder doesn't work

There will always be errors. I have been a bit surprised by the fabric requirement errors. It is really difficult if you are ordering and have to pay shipping again.

Thank you for posting this great story! I need to get brave and try it. The joy in your story tells me that it will be better than I think, especially if I go into it with your good attitude....

That looks wonderful! I would love a space like that. I especially like the embroidery hoops on the wall and the machine under the window. Looks like it will be a very productive space.

Re: It's time to ask for opinions on 3 thoughts.....

I say, 1) yes just add a backing without batting. 2) I like the border, but not sure the width. 3) LOVE the added clamshell on the edge. Finally, I think an all over meander would work great.
