Re: Have you seen Jenny on the Road?

I hope you made it to Jenny on the Road in Lancaster. My DH and I were there yesterday. Entertaining, worthwhile, and followed by a delicious buffet. Appeared to be a sell-out crowd!

Re: Help find a discontinued fabric!!!

Such a pain and has happened to me (insert eye roll). Iím sure youíve thought of this, but is it possible to piece your High Adventure with solid red the same hue? After quilting, itís almost never...
  4. Re: How fussy are you about your seams staying flat?

I recently purchased a wooden Press Stick from quilter Michelle Renee Hiatt, the June speaker at my Quilt Guild. The seam you are pressing open lays on top of the stick and the other seams fall away....

    Re: Opinion Please....On Current Project

Absolutely wonderful quilt theme! No doubt this is your view of the Gulf of Mexico. The horizon is usually a very thin dark line, with the sky above (view 2) so I am in favor of one or possibly two...

Re: I'm Sorry Missouri Star Quilt Co. But....

I’ll share some REALLY GOOD NEWS! Because I miscalculated, when I should not have been working after a full day, I quickly placed an order for more cut yardage - adding a few other pieces of cut...

Re: To Square or Not To Square

Yes, I learned the hard way to square my blocks before sewing them together. Even the smallest size difference creates exponential difference in the finished quilt. I’ve found 2 square rulers very...

Poll: Re: Sea Turtles A or B?

Thanks everyone for voting and comments! Keeping Sea Turtles B. Quilting is just so much trickier than it appears. Lucky and skillful is the quilter who gets it right and sews a work of art.

One of these throw quilts goes on our napping couch. A is square and B is rectangular, but both have the same area. You might recognize M* patterns: A = Tranquil Triangles; B = Half Square Triangles...

I donít know about you, but so much hand sewing over the years has taken its toll on my right hand. Yesterday I massaged some Arnicare Gel, sold in a tube (at Walgreens), into my joint and it helps!
  17. Re: How to square up a French Braid Panel and how to join strips made from a fat quarter.

Yes, your sashing (separator band) is the way to true up your panels. I just pieced a French Braid top with 5 panels and each one was slightly different in length when measured through the center...
