    Re: flying geese ruler

I have used the QIAD ruler with success. There are so many options out there. I have also made Flying Geese the Bonnie Hunter way and used the QIAD ruler to make sure they are square.

    Re: yummy apricot bread

Sounds really good - and the date version, too! Of course I would probably add nuts to both - Sugar, I will have to check out the Nut Bread Recipe.

    Re: I'm Curious To Know.....???

I chose gray - not too taupe not to blue - just a middle of the road gray. My thinking was it wouldn't interfere with the fabric colors as I was putting them together, but to tell the truth, not sure...

    Re: Quilting Forums

No other forums, but lots of facebook pages. They are usually geared towards a particular interest - scrappy quilts (Bonnie Hunter), Budget quilting, vintage machines, specific designers and styles...

    Re: OUR DOTTIE....

Oh Barb, I am sooo sorry to hear this. I know that heartache all too well. I will keep you all in my prayers. I'm sorry to say letting go does not get any easier as we get older. Maybe harder as you...

    Re: Coolest quilting innovations

I much prefer a vintage mechanical machine to a modern computerized beast. I have no need for a hundred different stitches. That being said, I am interested in how some use their embroidery machines...
  10. Re: I came across this video ON YouTube....and it's about MSQC.....Enjoy!

Reminds me of my Dad. Two of his favorite sayings were "Can't never could" or "I don't buy can't". LOL when my oldest was young and wanted Granddaddy to stop what he was doing and take him somewhere...

Re: Took the Leap on a New Computer

Joy, this post makes my head swim and I start hyperventilating! I hate trying to figure out anything tech related. If it wasn't for my DD, my phone would be hanging on the wall.

    All that being...

Re: Not sure what to do

All great suggestions! Each persons space, stash and budget are unique. I would suggest shopping either online or in person at IKEA, the Container Store, Home Depot and Lowes for what is available in...

Re: New Here from So Cal!

    Another welcome from Florida!

I am a Vintage machine addict, too! I just love the mid century machines, and have amassed a collection of them - I quit counting so don't know how many.

    At one...

    Re: Amazon update

My cousin worked for a call center for a LARGE Home Improvement company that everyone is familiar with. When a customer asked for a supervisor, they simply put them on hold, transferred them to the...
  18. Re: Another shipping story, another customer disappointed, another customer who loves MSQC

Al, just need to add this feedback: There are quite a few online fabric stores who offer $5 flat rate shipping and send it USPS Priority which is almost always 2 days. Just sayin'. I don't expect...

Re: Is there an easier way?

I would try it with short strip sets for variety. Cut each strip as wide as the length of the individual pieces.

Re: Have you ever had this problem with Amazon?

That is squarely on the manager/postmaster of your station. If there is a problem with an employee, they should deal with it. I would be mad, too! My carrier goes out of her way - literally - to...

Re: Have you ever had this problem with Amazon?

I know you are in Hawaii and it may be different there, but here, most of the orders are delivered either by contractors in their own private vehicles or a blue Amazon van. Of course there is also...

My daughter is moving to Maine in a few months. I have always wanted to go to PEI so maybe I will get the chance once she is up there. Better get my passport.

Re: Have you ever had this problem with Amazon?

Amazon is now handling most of their own shipping - no longer sending through USPS or Fed Ex. They have hired contractors and this is the result!

    Re: Pattern name

I agree that it would be simple to draft up the pattern. It is very similar to a pattern called "Take 5" with sashing added. Accuquilt made a die for the "Take 5" Patter.
