    Re: I'm back!!

Thank you all for your good wishes and prayers. We are ok, Daniel is fine, his autism means he doesn't really understand what's happened, just that it was bad. The detectives have been wonderful with...

Re: 1/4 quilting foot with guide

Always test your 1/4" with any foot, even if sold as a 1/4" foot. I personally hate flanges, and agree their 1/4" is too generous!!

Re: Take to class pressing board

I'll try to add a pic. I make my own. Go to a craft department and find all their MDF wooden bits, usually used for folk art or decoupage. Buy little wooden placemats, the edges are already beveled...

    I'm a proud leftie!!
Most things will work either way, and we've always had to be adaptable so nothing's a problem really.

    Traditional vs. Modern/Art

Watched a DVD tonight while stitching blocks together. It was about three art quilters and their mixed success at the major US Quilt Festivals. It covered their journeys, their past and present...

  14. Re: Need help from the smartest quilters ever....

    Don't wash it!!!!!!!!

It's definitely a pineapple block. Dating it won't be easy as its solids. Don't let anyone snip threads to date it, its highly inaccurate anyway. Having the info you already...

Re: Polyester thread for a longarm?

I often use poly thread in my long arm with no issues. However I only use good quality. NEVER use 'fluffy' thread in any of your machines

Re: Sorry guys, I have to put it out there....

  25. Re: How do I teach a lefthander to use sewing machine
