Tips for sewing with old sheets

If any of you noticed while cutting your sheets down, the selvedge edge was shrunken more than the rest of the sheet. Especially on the fitted sheets. If you also noticed, the bias of these sheets would contort very easily making them hard to cut with scissors or a rotary cutter. I recommend doing a tug test before cutting or sewing them together. On some it may be beneficial to back it with iron on stabilizer. If I find or figure anything else out I will let you know.

Here is a relatively recent blog post about sewing with vintage sheets: http://www.thewillowmarket.com/sewin...along-the-way/

    Enjoy!
Blogging ahead.....research in quilting and sewing with a dab of cooking/recipes too.
