    AMG--- thank you so much!!!!

AMG . . . I just finished opening my gifts and to say they are spectacular is an understatement!!! I had 3 dryer balls which I loved but they were packed away back in July/August when I was getting ready to move and I have not uncovered them. Your dryer balls are very much appreciated. How did you make them. The placemats I will be using on my new kitchen island and/or my dining table --- love them. I will hate using the Valentine potholders, I don't want then to get dirty. I envy your ability to knit and crochet. My attempts at both have not been very successful. I will try to take some pictures and post on this site --- that doesn't always work out for me --- in the next couple of days. Thanks again. Everything was wonderful!!!

I'm so glad you liked them - I had fun making them all!

I usually make dryer balls when I have lots of leftover wool that's not reallybenough circa projec5. If you were to cut those open you'd see a wild range of colors, lol. I make a loose ball about the size of a softball, may be a little smaller. Then I put them in a stocking leg - knee-his work great - and tieva knot afterveach oine, like a string of pearls lol. Then wash in the washer with jeans and a bit if detergent in hot water. The stocking helps it keep it's shape as she wool strands felt together.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that every gift was in a drawstring bag that you made. What a great idea and so cute!!!

      Secret Santa 2019

      About this Group

Membership is now closed for 2019.

We had a lot of fun with the Secret Santa 2018 group last year. A lot of happy people received beautiful handmade gifts from their Secret Santa's. Each person made and received 12 gifts at Christmas that were made throughout the year, one a month based on a given theme. We learned new things, challenged our skills in a non-stressful way and got "down and dirty" creative. Plus at the end of the year we get 12 great gifts for Christmas!

This group is a commitment as you are signing on to create 12 gifts during the year. They can be smaller projects so any challenge is not overly difficult. Choose whatever difficulty you are comfortable with. You may also, twice a year, swap out the named theme for one of your own choosing. You may also purchase rather than hand make 3 items during the year.
