    May Theme

Our May Theme is from Toggpine and is:

    Circles, Circles, Circles

    As Toggpine says: "Curvalicious!

This curve ball is either a technique or a pattern theme depending on how you approach the project.
    Circles! Circles! Circles!
Curved Seams: Drunkard’s Path, Winding Ways. etc.
Optical Illusions (straight seams that look curved): Storm @ Sea type patterns.
    Dresden plates.
    Applique.
    Fabric with circles.
    Cookies!"

Women are Angels. When someone break's our wings we will continue to fly-usually on a broomstick. We're flexible like that.

This might be our youngest one's favorite theme - you just said Cookies and at this moment Cookie Monster is his favorite in the Sesame Street: The Cookie Thief Movie. And April's theme would be a possible tie as he loves ice cream.

Cookie, cookie, cookie! Cookie begins with C!

I wanted to make sure everybody could work with this theme! If you want a technique challenge there is that with curved seams. If you want something simple, find some polka dots and run with it. Something in the middle? Appliqué and straight seams that look curved.
I have a couple of templates that will give ideas of that last one. I'll get some pictures of those posted.

We could always make ice cream sandwiches! That hits two themes!

This sounds like home made Cookies or hand dipped chocolates would work well. I love baking and making fudge starting about thanksgiving through until about new years.

This one sure had me thinking! That is until today, it is now done.
One yard of fabric, like one cookie, is never enough!

              Secret Santa 2019

              About this Group

Membership is now closed for 2019.

We had a lot of fun with the Secret Santa 2018 group last year. A lot of happy people received beautiful handmade gifts from their Secret Santa's. Each person made and received 12 gifts at Christmas that were made throughout the year, one a month based on a given theme. We learned new things, challenged our skills in a non-stressful way and got "down and dirty" creative. Plus at the end of the year we get 12 great gifts for Christmas!

This group is a commitment as you are signing on to create 12 gifts during the year. They can be smaller projects so any challenge is not overly difficult. Choose whatever difficulty you are comfortable with. You may also, twice a year, swap out the named theme for one of your own choosing. You may also purchase rather than hand make 3 items during the year.
