    June's number is....

I betcha all thought I was going to forget to post -- well here it is.... 12.

I haven't been on line for quite a few days, as it's been nice weather for doing yardwork. I remembered tonight that it was June tomorrow. Now to go check what my #12 project is. I have been working on projects that never made it to the list, but sort of on my wish list to reduce my stash. I've been working on my native quilt, with northern animals ( 2 panels). It's coming together.

I may have to put it aside grandkids need 60 masks for summer camp (4 per day, x 3 kiddos). So what's your great ambition.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

I've also had some distractions that took me off list, but I am surprised at how much it helps to have 'homework' to be accountable for!

Woohoo! I knew you wouldn't forget!

I've been distracted by the garden this month as well. Spring clean-up of the flower beds takes a lot of time and energy. I told hubs we should think about getting someone to do the heavy work next spring. I don't mind puttering and planting but the on-my-hands-and-knees weeding and shoveling mulch is a bit much. He helps with the mulch but the flower beds are mine to fuss with. He does the veggie garden.

Anywho, my #12 is a panel. It's one of those gorgeous Robert Kaufman Christmas trees. I have several of the coordinating fabrics to border it with but haven't decided what to do. It'll probably take me longer to design the border than it will to sew it up.

Now if I could just stay out of the garden centers...shopping for plants is almost as addictive as shopping for fabric.

I know what you mean about being on hands and knees. Hubby doesn't do much yardwork, except to cut grass and take the trimmer to trees. He has been working on a low retaining wall for years. Heavens I could hire someone to do it in one day, but he insists he is going to do it -- tomorrow, this week.

I may be challenged to get my #12 done just because I’m trying to get the puppies trained. My project for this month is to take scraps and complete a quilt from them. We will see how that goes.

The training must go on. However, I think puppies need to be trained to give you some quilting time, Scrap piecing should not be too taxing, hopefully.

I just checked. My #12 is to make a star quilt with Kansas Troubles fabric that I purchased in 2018 on a trip to Lynn's store. In fact, I have a jelly roll, a layer cake, lots of coordinating fabrics, and 8 yards of flannel. I might be able to get at least 2 quilt tops. I need to remember which star pattern I was thinking of making. I should have written it down and put with fabric.

      2021 Fantastic Finishing Group

      About this Group

Do you have some UFOs (UnFinished Objects) that you want to finish? Are you having a hard time choosing what to finish next, or are you just not feeling motivated? Do you have some specific goals you want to complete in 2021? This group is for you! We have a fun way to get those projects done in 2021.

      Here is how it works.

First, you create a list, numbered from 1 - 12, of 1) things you want to finish; 2) OR projects you want to do; 3) OR a combination of 1 and 2. Then, you post your list to this group. (You can edit and change your list at any time.)

Every month, this group will publish a random number between 1 - 12. We will each work on that number from our list. If you prefer to do your list in a particular order, you can certainly do it that way as well. When you have finished your project, please post a picture here as well.

We’re here to support each other. It’s amazing how knowing what project to tackle helps to motivate us to finish what we start.
