Thanks Polly for the compliment on my Dresden Flower Garden and the Short Story baby quilt. Both quilts were done with 30's reproduction fabrics. 30's reproduction fabrics always make such happy quilts.
    1 Thanks

G'day, how are things down under? I was looking through your album and I really love the teddy bear quilt. Did you hand embroider the bears or was that machine done. It is so cute. Great job on all of them.

Hi Paula! I hope you missed the worst of the weather up there in Cairns. There's a fair bit of water headed my way now but I don't think it will be anything like last year.

Hi Polly! Thanks for all the photo comments. No, the big box was an office chair. There was a whole big saga about that gift! I bought the Horizon myself in January. The Crazy Quilt is a quilt-as-you-go and I made it before I got the Horizon on my 3160. Thanks for the compliments about the Hidden Stars quilt...it was a pain to piece but looks good in the end! have a happy day!

I wish we could go shopping together! I LOVE picking out colors and fabrics to go with different patterns! Go with what you like and you'll like the quilt.

    G'Day Paula.
No, my mom never went back to Brisbane. Us kids (4) were going to pool our money and send her back for a visit as a Mother's Day gift, but she didn't want to go. She said she wanted to remember it as it was when she left. Unfortunately she passed away 2 days later. That was in 1973 and I still miss her every day.
Her maiden name was Chapple but her sisters after marriage were: Dalgleish, White and Belotti. I have a cousin Lorraine Durnford that owns and operates a surf wear shop near Brisbane also.
I do hope I get to visit one day.

Thanks Paula, look forward to seeing some of your work too. Although summer here in Aus is not the best time to sew or quilt. Enjoy your time here :-)
